Equestrian
Three small paddocks at the farm are reserved for visiting horses, each has natural shelter and horse friendly fencing. There is secure storage for tack in Brechfa Bunkhouse and plenty of parking space for lorries or trailers in the yard.
Many local residents have moved to the Brechfa area because of the fantastic off road riding opportunities. Brechfa Forest is 50 square miles of freedom for you and your horse, surrounded with very quiet country lanes, open common and farmland crossed by a network of bridleways. One of my first projects when renovating this farm was to open up an old track so that I have easy, safe access into the forest with my horses, that track is also available to guests.
I do not allow guests to ride my horses. A trekking center is currently being established on Llanllwni Mountain to make the most of the open access status of the mountain and forest. More details will be provided as they are available.
Other trekking centers in Carmarthenshire include
